Q opolis University, (pronounced -  `kyoo  op - Ō – lis), was developed to solve many problems with higher education today and is specifically focused on money & business education for several reasons.  It is focused on pushing students to have creativity, individuality and curiosity while developing their critical thinking and analytical skills. Below you will find a list of over 30 problems with the old, outdated university education system designed after WWII when the United States of America needed mostly factory workers.  Today, we need creative problem solvers, not manual laborers.  Each one problem with education is significant but some, more than others, effect the future of our world.  Qopolis University is designed to solve all of them.

The 3 main issues with universities are:

1. They are too expensive for the average person to pay for.

2. What they make students learn is mostly useless to the students future, which wastes time & money learning and testing on that information.

3. Everything they teach is just FREE information anyone can find in public libraries or FREE online, yet they cause students to go into debt for learning the FREE information.

Most people will not pay for something they will not use or for something they can get for FREE. Almost nobody will go deep into debt to pay for something they will not use or that they can have for FREE.  Yet, Americans and others, have been brainwashed to go deep into debt or to pay good money to be taught "required" information in classes that is mostly teach non-useful lessons for a person's future in realistic society and the information they are "taught" is FREE, Public Domain Information somewhere.

Qopolis university developers know that many students drop out of high school and college because they find the information:

  • Boring
  • Taught in a boring way
  • Irrelavant to their lives
  • But mostly, Irrelavant to their future

Student drop out of college most due to financial reasons and time issues (convenience). Qopolis is all about changing this for as many people as possible around the world. As Ben Franklin recognized about the new nation America, we recognize about the new global economy, we need MORE educated people in business to have good interconnected global econommies, instead of fewer people educated in business.

A long time ago, in Europe, society was separated into wealthy landowners surfs/peasants or workers.  The rich landowners hired scholars and tutors to teach their children in their homes and had large home libraries of books. The workers and labor, usually could not read or write and could not afford to buy handwritten books that were very expensive.  The lack of education kept people poor and working for others. The lack of BUSINESS and MONEY education made sure only a small few would own land and businesses and be wealthy.

However, In the newly formed United States of America, most people were all business owners working for themselves. Very few people worked for anyone other than themselves or with their own families. Most Americans had farms as their business and did not pay landowners. They pioneered the lands and "Homesteaded" their own farmland as private business owners. They built their dreams instead of building the dreams of others. America was called the Land of Opportunity where you could have your own business and NOT controlled by someone else. Some Americans had businesses, other than farms though. They were lawyers, black smiths, bakers, Saloon owners, etc. A few people did have others working for them, but most owned their own business. However, some imported slaves to work for them to make the wealthy. The slaves would work for very little until they could not work anymore.

Benjamin Franklin, one of the wisest American founders, recognized that, as a new nation, the United States of America needed more educated people rather than fewer educated people. He knew the knowledge that all Americans needed was in books.  He proposed a system where the local governments buy expensive handwritten or printed books and store them in buildings where the average person could go and read them. The public library system was born. The information was FREE to anyone who wanted an education and the beginnings of the nowadays, state university libraries was created.

The rich families decided to created private universities to teach the higher education in business and money management to their children and let all common children learn only enough to get a jobs working for one of their companies. The private universities were so expensive, only rich families could afford to pay the tuition. That excluded the middle and lower class families without stating it obviously.  The rich families supported public education for the workers to learn basics of reading, writing and math, but absolutely NO education about money or business. That education should only go to the rich families' children.

Read what is said about the development of education in America and Harvard University in Wikipedia,

The more elite colleges became increasingly exclusive and contributed relatively little to upward social mobility. By concentrating on the offspring of wealthy families, ministers and a few others, the elite Eastern colleges, especially Harvard, played an important role in the formation of a Northeastern elite with great power.

Today, that separation between rich families and everyone else is very obvious. You can choose to be a worker and part of the labor force regulated by the U.S. Government Department of Labor or, if you are rich, you can learn to build wealth and businesses by learning at expensive, private university business schools. This has created a very large gap between wealthy families and working families who are the labor for companies owned by the rich. Now, most people, instead of owning their own business, work for someone else's business and make those owners wealthy. Most people's labor goes towards making someone else wealthy and the little money they earn for that labor goes towards paying the bank for debt, making the banks wealthy.

Qopolis University is taking the best business and money management education taught at the expensive, private, Ivy League universities and making it available to working families, conveniently and affordably. This has never been done. We are also changing over 30 other issues, that we see as problems with the current options for higher education.

Qopolis University is designed to innovate and integrate with the best and latest Internet technologies and methodologies the best education in money management, wealth creation and business development. The advanced “cognitive” teaching design, proven 70% more effective than the current college live lecture design, is expected to set the standard for all future higher education programs. Studies prove learning from online and  videos taught in Massive Open Online Classes (MOOCs) is MORE effective than in the average college live lecture hall. This is especially true for anyone who does not speak English well or who has a professor who does not speak English well. Today, universities like MIT, Yale, Penn State and many others are providing MOOCs to students because they are extremely effective ways to teach a huge number of students information more effectively than using LIVE CLASSROOM LECTURES.

The focus of Qopolis University is the education of students about business development, wealth creation and money management, to facilitate the starting, running and growing of successful businesses, that will create new jobs in this internet integrated, mobile platform accessed, business environment, while learning about, banking and creating personal wealth. Qopolis students will learn from the best Harvard, Stanford and other Ivy League Business School classes, the best business practices, methods and technology available to businesses today, from online banking and accounting to mobile app marketing development and acquiring venture capital.

Small businesses create over 65% of all jobs in our economy. However, over 88% will fail in the first 5 years, due to lack of a good business education by the business owner or manager. Qopolis University is designed and focused on providing the best business education possible to middle income students at the best tuition rate possible, by using modern technology and avoiding age old traditions that increase tuition costs and do not give students the education they need to start, run and grow a successful business today.

Qopolis University is not built at a coveted geographical location near some prestigious hub of politics, commerce or near some flowing waterway like most traditional universities. It is built on the most innovative and technologically advanced learning platform possible, without any real world legacy costs, and available in every part of the world with Internet and Mobile platform access. Now, any student can have access to the best business and money management education. It does not matter where they live or work in the world or what their schedule is now.

Qopolis University uses the latest research in teaching methodology from Harvard University and other university educational research programs.  It uses the “cognitive” teaching method. It is completely digital and therefore more advanced than any university in the United States that has real, old world campuses and real old world costs that drive up tuition for students.

Traditional, established universities, burn tons of carbon every day to heat/cool buildings, provide parking lots, dispose of trash, cleaning and maintain buildings, stadiums, lawns, recreation centers, cafeterias, dorms, etc. Traditional students that attend traditional universities, burn fossil fuels to travel to the universities, use their facilities, buy books, study in libraries, create trash, etc. Qopolis University changes all that.

Qopolis University is the “Greenest” university on Earth.  There is no physical campus to burn fossil fuels. There is almost no carbon footprint at all, compared to old, traditional universities.  Qopolis University students generate almost no carbon footprint, while learning and using the university, compared to what traditional university students create at traditional universities. For everyone who truly cares about the environment, they will realize that going to a traditional university with campuses and supporting those universities’ campuses, generates more carbon dioxide and does nothing to stop Climate Change.

Qopolis University students can be very proud that they will absolutely be making a difference for the Earth and helping by choosing to learn at the “Greenest” university on Earth.

Qopolis University is raising the bar and is a paradigm shift in the future of education at all levels for future generations. We are the "iPhone" of universities that will force other universities to become more like us, just like the iPhone forced all other cell phones to become more like it. Qopolis is the "Disruptive" technology, not only in how it teaches, how much it costs to tech, but also in what it is teaching which includes proprietary and non-Public Domain information about Money & Business. Qopolis is the university for the rest of us.

Problems of "Old Model" Higher Education

High Tuition Costs

Why is tuition so expensive and becoming out of reach for most families?

Higher education has been shaped for hundreds of years by two things that are now causing tuition increases for all students;

1) Tradition and

2) Books.

Those two foundations for all higher learning university programs are now contributing to keeping intelligent and motivated students from a higher education, due to the necessity of all real old world campuses to pay their bills, thereby requiring a high tuition from students.

4 Years to Apprentice

Why does every degree program
take 4-years to complete

when some are harder than others?

For centuries, only the powerful and wealthy could afford to have their children educated by scholars. Royalty, clergy and rich merchant families hired scholars to tutor their children and give them an education that the peasant families could not afford. The elite of the society knew education was the key to success.  All other families went the way of labor and skilled labor, and usually were working for those elite families’ companies.

Peasant “working class” family tradition was to work on farms or learn a trade to get a job. The ‘trade’ route took about three (3) years of apprenticing under a Master of some skill like violin making, watch making, black smith, cobbler, or a skilled carpenter.  Some tradesmen learned how to read and write, that pushed some into being scribes to create scrolls of knowledge.  Some skills took longer than others to apprentice, but usually about 3 years. Then, the students studied under the grand master of the trade to become a master craftsman for another year or more. This age old, tradition continued even into modern education systems or today.

Today, in the United States, all higher learning degrees are 4 years, no matter if it is art, history, electrical engineering, music theory, cellular biology, graphic design, or astorphysics. But everyone knows it is much more difficult to be an organic chemist than to graduate from a communications degree program. However, no matter the difficulty, all Bachelors degrees, at all major universities, take 4-years of study.  This is due mostly to the old tradition of being an apprentice for 3 years before you learn to be a Master at your trade.

Sadly, the “modern,” U.S. Department of Education accreditation system, requires students to pay for 1 extra year of education, BEFORE they learn their ‘trade’. This one (1) year extra year BEFORE learning a trade, is called, General Studies.  This tradition was created before PUBLIC, K-12 schools were available. The 1 extra year, taught students general studies of reading, writing, and math because a centruy ago, most students did not have enough basic education when they started at a university.

These “General Studies” classes were designed a century or more ago, when “traditionally” very few students had a good foundation in reading, writing or math. However, today, even with average education in high school, almost any student allowed to use Google or other computer software, can answer almost any factual question, write a good paper with perfect spelling and grammar, and solve most normal, real world, math problems using a calculator or spreadsheet.  Yet, the first year, “General Studies” portion of a 4-year degree, is still required to be paid for by students by “traditional” universities.

The tradition of requiring General Studies for the first year increases the cost for education by 33% to students who are ready to learn a “trade” and become a worker or labor in a business owned by rich families.

The cost to take the first year helps drive up the total education costs for students, with little benefit. Banks, making student loans, benefit greatly from the extra year required. Most students do NOT benefit at all from the extra year.  Most students do not even remember their first year classes and could never pass the finals for those classes after graduation, because the information taught in those first year, General Studies classes were mostly useless in their “trade/job” in the labor force of society.

There is no good reason to study 4 years for most degrees that are not rocket science, when a degree in “rocket science” would take 4 years. But, tradition by the U.S. Department of Education, dictates this tradition over common sense. The tradition is so ingrained in U.S. universities; it is impossible to change from old traditions, even when they do not make sense any more.

One of the most intelligent men ever born, Albert Einstein, refused to memorize anything that he could look up in less than 2 minutes. He said it was not important to clutter his mind with facts that could be found easily.  Henry Ford, a very wealthy executive who started the Ford Motor company, also said he found memorizing facts useless, especially historical facts. Henry Ford dropped out of school after the 6th grade, but he could easily get any information needed by picking up a phone on his desk and getting the information from one of his workers/labor.

Many people, who were not as wealthy or successful as Henry Ford, said it was important to memorize facts about history or government and used that thinking to develop university degree programs still taught today.  Obviously it is not needed to become wealthy since Henry Ford did not have it.

The commons sense of those two men to NOT memorize facts, which are easily found, is not reflected in today’s traditional education degrees. All universities require you to memorize facts and information that can be easily “Googled” by almost anyone, anywhere

Before we discuss solutions to problems, it is understood, that if all electricity is off, the Internet is down and nobody has a calculator available, something wrong has happened and it is temporary. If it is not temporary, then something terrible has happened and a discussion about education is not important.

Today, we still make students memorize things that they can easily look up on Google or other websites.  Common sense of past and present successful men and women says we should change with the times and technology.  Yet, that is not the case at today’s traditional universities.

Einstein and Ford’s common sense understanding of success, says that it is not necessary to test a student’s memorization of facts or formulas that are easily looked up.  However, most university tests and most degree program finals are still focused on testing students’ memory of facts and formulas.

Curriculum developed for Qopolis University allows students to complete any “general studies” classes required by the U.S. Department of Education at their own pace without making each student take a full year to attend each class, which at traditional universities are scheduled to take the full first year, according to the schedule of the professor. Also, Qopolis University classes are all designed to add value towards a “real world” business situation and be very applicable in the “real world” business environment.

Example: In business it is very good to know marketing and advertising language and what sells.  Most General Studies English requirements study poets or creative writing. Qopolis University students General Studies English classes teach lessons on good marketing and sales materials.

Example: In business, almost all businesses are run by understanding spreadsheets. Most General Studies Math requirements study Algebra or Calculus.  Neither of these is needed to understand spreadsheets.  Qopolis University General Studies Math classes teach Spreadsheets.

Example: In business it is better to not make mistakes others have made in business. Most General Studies History requirements, study world or local history, which will not help in business as Henry Ford proved.  Qopolis University General Studies History teaches cases studies of different businesses and their history, how the succeeded or mistakes they made.

The General Studies requirements can be very good if they teach classes that help you in your specific goals. Qopolis University does this.

Traditional university students must pay for a year of General Studies that has little to do with their degree. During that wasted year they pay for, they also spend unneeded expenses on living.  That is also another year traditional students cannot apply their knowledge and earn a living. Qopolis University changes that old “tradition” and other “traditions.” Qopolis University students learn information about business in the first year that does not waste time and money at any speed they can.

Traditional Speed of Learning

Traditional students wait on each class to be taught by the professor. They wait for the final exam to be given at the end of the semester, before they are allowed to learn from the next class.

Qopolis University has all classes recorded as video online.  Students never wait for a lecture and they never need to take notes.  The video is always available to them online or downloaded.  They can take it with them in their computer or “Smart Phone” and study any where at anytime.  They can move through all their classes faster than traditional students. They learn and test when they want and do not wait on professors or testing schedules. They can graduate and start earning money sooner than traditional university students.

Tradition of Sports As Leadership Training

Why do schools spend so much on sports, when only a

small number of the total students play on the teams?

For thousands of years, the strongest and fastest and smartest people were the rulers of society.  When people used clubs and swords to conquer others, the most athletic men were the leaders of their society. Later, those who could, organize, train and outfit the best armies ruled the regions. Sports for boys were the way to filter out the weak and to find the strongest boys to be fighters/soldiers.

That, very old, tradition has changed from training armies, to training sports teams. These artificial “armies of warriors”, (sports teams) “fight” on giant fields of artificial grass to win championships. The “war” teaches a player teamwork and leadership. But, in most traditional universities, a very small number of students are on sports teams.

Today, the tradition of using sports to teach teamwork and leadership has changed into giving a small number of students in the university, the most money for stadiums, locker rooms, gym equipment, coaches, etc.   Most university students do not play on teams, but still pay for all the expense of a university team in their tuition.

Traditional universities will spend millions of dollars on approximately 100 football students in a university with thousands of students.  Only those elite, 100 will get training in teamwork and leadership for the millions of dollars spent.  But, all students are required to pay tuition that supports those few elite.

Each student’s tuition goes toward paying for those 100 elite to have multi-million dollar coaches, high tech gyms, nutritionists, doctors, tutors, athlete support facilities, stadiums, groundskeepers, food, transportation to other universities to play, insurance, etc.  Tuition from those students, who may never see a game, is used to pay for those costs and more.  This is because, the old tradition, of training an army to do combat is ingrained into the old traditional universities of today. That makes education more expensive.

Qopolis University students will not pay for cleaning after a big game, replacing the light bulbs in a stadium, the electricity for lighting a giant stadium for night games, insurance to cover any liabilities to fans. Qopolis students will not pay for any expenses of a sport program at traditional universities. Qopolis University promotes teamwork and leadership training using modern methodologies in which all students can participate, not just a 100 or so.

Qopolis University’s removal of traditional combat/sports from a university’s expenses, when the main focus should be education of students, reduces the cost of tuition that old traditional universities with sports teams cannot remove.

Why are traditional university students required to

buy printed books, when digital books are so much

more efficient, cheaper and better for the environment?

Centuries ago, hand written scrolls, were the holders of all knowledge that could be easily shared between people at a distance.  People did not need to travel to the scholar/professor to learn what he taught to his students. You could read the knowledge and learn. If the scholar died, his scroll information allowed student to learn from his knowledge after his death.  A very well written scroll would give you the knowledge of others you never met. Scribes would apprentice for years to create written “books” with perfect penmanship written in straight lines. Look at the U.S. Constitution for a good example of this. It is a large, one page, and scroll.

Libraries were created to hold valuable and delicate scrolls and bound pages (books).  Students could read them only in the libraries.  Students could learn the knowledge of scholars/professors far away could be shared.

To own a book of your own was very exclusive to the rich and powerful elite families. Normal people did not have books of their own, not even bibles. Books were too expensive for most people and the knowledge in books remained mostly with the elite families and their children.

As books began to be printed in volume by publishers, they became cheaper. But, most books were still kept in libraries not accessible by the average person who could not travel to the library easily or possibly even read well.

An American named, Benjamin Franklin, understood, any country would be better with more educated people than countries with fewer educated people. He helped create PUBLIC libraries. Then, anyone in the society can learn from far away, scholars, not just the rich and their children.

Almost every university today, was built around a library. All the best universities usually have many libraries. Traditionally, when books were expensive to print, each university student had a library card. The student could borrow books, but must return them in good condition, then others may also learn from the books.

One hundred years past, printed books were expensive. Only universities supported by wealthy people or governments could buy books filled with the knowledge of scholars. Private universities, like Harvard, Princeton and Yale, were supported by wealthy individuals and bought the most expensive books for their students. Governments opened libraries and created government “State” colleges around the libraries.  The local government paid for the books, while students paid for the campus and professors.

Today, information is easily created digitally. The cost is almost nothing to copy any digital book. Google is digitizing all books in the Library of Congress. Google Books is free to anyone to use and access. The cost to distribute digital books is also, almost nothing using the Internet.

To update a digital book, costs almost nothing. Updating a printed book requires a whole new book to be printed.

Almost every ‘traditional’ university today, requires students to buy, PRINTED books that are usually outdated by at least a year. Printed books have many environmental and financial costs; the cost to trees for paper and ink to print, diesel fuel to ship/transport heavy books, storage heating/cooling, building construction to store and landfill for disposal. Qopolis uses digital books.

Traditional universities requiring printed books are usually very expensive for students. The true printing costs are very little. The monopoly of the university book publishers charge huge prices, far more than real printing costs to traditional university students. Traditional university students have no choice.  They must pay the costs for printed books. Most students are shocked at the prices for books required by each university. Buying used books is not cheap.

This, centuries old tradition of using printed books in a library, causes tuition costs at traditional universities to be very expensive. It makes the best education available for only the rich in society.

Benjamin Franklin’s goal of getting more people educated, not only the rich, is dying at the traditional universities. Tuition is too expensive now for most families.

The ironic thing about university books today is, almost all information in the printed books can be found, free on the Internet.  There is no reason now, to buy printed books with almost all information in them, available for free on the Internet. But, traditional universities continue to make students buy printed books and make education more expensive. Qopolis University changes that.

All curriculum materials for Qopolis University students are 100% digital. There is no environmental impact by these “digital books.”  All students can get updates immediately to any curriculum and never buy a printed book. If business events change at the first of the semester, the Qopolis University professor can update the “digital curriculum” with the latest information before the final exam.

Traditional universities cannot update printed books quickly. Traditional universities make students buy “new” books that are a year or two old when published. The “new” books always teach older information to students.

Qopolis University students have the newest information.  They will not use printed books for studies.  Our students are given hyperlinks to the best, free, Internet accessible information and research.  Information changes quickly in today’s world. Only Qopolis University is designed from the beginning to change the curriculum materials as fast as the information changes, unlike traditional universities.

Without printed books, Qopolis University students do not pay for giant libraries or the janitorial cleaning, repair, security, fumigation, and staffing of the type libraries. Qopolis University students’ tuition does not pay heating, cooling or lighting giant libraries that traditional university student must pay for. Traditional universities must charge students more money to pay those costs, Not Qopolis University.

This advanced, “Internet Age” education model, reduces the cost of traditional education by using the latest Internet technologies and methodologies. Traditional universities with one or more libraries cannot reduce their costs unless they destroy those very expensive libraries and all those old books.

Campus Around the Library

Why do students have to pay for things they never use?

As books made it important, centuries ago, to have libraries, universities also built huge campuses around those libraries. Most traditional universities started by building simple classrooms next to a library. As the library grew, universities added more buildings and more expenses, to be paid for by student tuition.

The traditional, high quality, universities eventually built administration buildings, student housing dorms, cafeterias, maintenance facilities, utility structures, waste disposal, vehicle maintenance areas, parking lots, recreation facilities, etc. They built structures to be huge and last for hundreds of years. They used huge stones and made giant cathedral ceilings. Those buildings are very pretty and impressive to see.  They cost a lot more than normal buildings, to build and maintain.  These huge buildings are usually very energy inefficient. The heating and cooling expenses are very high.

Traditional universities never discuss the environmental effect of a giant campus.  The huge, green, campus looks very pretty on printed brochures.  All that green grass requires much fertilizer, watering, cutting and weed killer chemicals. Do students’ families want to pay for all those expenses?

Many of today’s universities have buildings that are over 100 years old with new buildings being planned for new auditoriums, performing arts centers, study labs, student government offices, modern campus police departments, fire and medical facilities and more.  Students must pay for all these.

What if you never use those?
Do you want to pay for them?

If you walk to classes and never need to park a car, your tuition must increase each year for the university to cover all those expenses for things as parking lots, side walks, sprinkler systems, security cars, night lights, trimming trees, and the professors that teach you. It is much cheaper to ONLY pay for professors.

Qopolis University is focused on the best business education possible with the newest information and teaching methods. It does not have a huge campus of old and new buildings or any structures that must be paid for by students. The tuition pays for learning and information.  Qopolis University does not need to pay for traditional university costs that have grown from needing a library to store printed books.

Traditional universities started many decades or even over a century past. They require students to pay for old traditions started when books were written by hand.  Qopolis University eliminates those costs from student tuition.

By avoiding outdated traditions, Qopolis University is able to hire the highest paid and best professors in the world. These professors create the best knowledge/curriculum for our students. That is the main cost for tuition. With no old expenses, the average working family can afford the best business education for their children. That education is not just for the rich families.

Outdated Teaching of Internet Era Students

Why are old methods not changed

to teach students using the best new methods?

Every young university student today, has seen the Internet and modern gaming technology and software their entire life.  The shift in how information is used, created and distributed in the last 10 years is unparalleled. Never, in human history, has technology changed so rapidly and so profoundly effected society and business, as in the last decade. Almost every part of our culture has changed drastically or is trying to change, because of the Internet and technology advances. Many areas are doing a poor job, because of little funding or old technologies and traditions.  This is very obvious in higher education at old, traditional universities.

All young students have lived in a time when the internet changed the way society makes phone calls, plays games, sends and creates new information.  But, traditional universities continue to use printed books that cannot be searched or easily copied to a document, email or text.  Most professors continue to use a chalkboard/Whiteboard, slide shows during their traditional lectures. The actual design of traditional university lecturing has been shown by Harvard research to be almost useless to students attending the lecture, for learning and understanding the information. But, what university is able to change that after much is invested in old ways and methods?

Today’s average university student grew up playing games on a small screen, hand-held mini-computer. Some students had “Gameboys” or “PS3” players. Many students had home gaming systems like Nintendo or XBox.  In the last years, many students have had mobile phone applications (apps), including Internet connected software. Few young adults send hand written letters or use an old style dial phone. All professors can remember doing those things and some still do them because they do not know how to use the new technology.

Children playing videos computer games have learned complicated rules, solutions, and critical thinking skills to win. They know how to program DVRs and find things on home computers for their parents. Young adults send text messages to their friends on tiny screens faster than most adults can type.

Most adults today cannot understand the actions and the love their children have for these interactive things. That is why, today’s education system for these children, is lost in the past and using decades, old, methodologies, to teach modern and integrated children. These children are being slowed and restrained by the old traditional ways of giving information using printed books and chalkboards.

There are very few, traditionally educated adults, that “get it.”  Unfortunately, traditional adults, who do not “get it”, manage most of the universities. Common sense tells us, things should change, because of the rapid integration of technology.  Most traditional universities think, “If we allow students to use tablets like Apple’s iPad 3, we are modern and up-to-date.”  But, they still teach old information using old methods.

Qopolis University is designed to teach the modern children who live, surrounded by and integrated with technology. No other university started with a focus on educating modern children. Most traditional universities follow outdated, teaching models that make things easy for the professors and university, but not easy and convenient for students. Qopolis University changes that.

Qopolis University will use social interaction and Internet technologies built for modern laptops, tablets and smart phone access. Also, it uses a new class teaching method to give students the best education they cannot get anywhere else today, which is proven to be 70% more effective.

Qopolis University is not designed to make life easy for professors’ schedules. It is designed to be convenient for students. Qopolis is designed to help students learn the way students want and how they process information best, using technologies students love to use, with learning methods proven to be 70% more effective than old style traditional professor lectures.

The traditional teaching design pushed all students to learn everything at the exact same pace, in the exact same way, by the exact same professor, at the exact same location, with the exact same expectations.  But, every student is unique. It is impossible to find a group of students with the exact, same abilities, desires, motivations, and life schedule or family support. Qopolis University understands that fact. Our program is designed, knowing each student is unique with unique abilities and schedules.

The traditional teaching model was created to make it easy for one professor to teach a course to many students using a book and blackboard.  Faster learning students had to wait. Students needing more time or explanation eventually fail and leave the university. The “cream” of students, would rise to the top and finally graduate.  Professors, designed traditional university curriculum, policies and schedules for professors and the university, not the students.

Qopolis University’s teaching model allows students to learn at their best individual speed. The most motivated students do not need to wait.  Students needing more time or different examples can still succeed.

Qopolis has a SPECIAL Learning Option for students that learn better from a different presentation than the professor’s. This SPECIAL Learning Option has never been given to students at any major university until now. This SPECIAL Learning Option will change teaching forever in fall 2012.

Most traditional university students, with education loans, must pay those loans, at the same time they start searching for a job and planning for a family.
